Great content, please post more~Losing belly fat is one of the most satisfying moments in weight loss.I have lost 39lbs in 4 weeks. View it, burning.date Thanks again for your video!
Been watching several of your videos and although most are pretty good it feels they are somewhat geared toward men, which is fine (men know men best). Being an olderish women I also enjoyed the video on size, strength, and aging. It made sense because I keep getting discouraged knowing I will never be able to have a nice looking body and can’t seem to grow nice looking muscles but I do want to be able to take care of myself when I get OLD. All that said, for me this video explains exactly what I’ve been trying to figure out in my own head. NOT Having a clear goal or how to execute it is what makes it all fall apart for me. Thanks for all the time and effort you have put into making these videos.
Inspiration gives you the idea. Motivation is like the ignition of a motor… it just gets you started. Discipline keeps the motor running and gets you to your destination.
I normally don't comment on YT but this has to be the best advice for ANYTHING not just dieting that I've heard in my life. Thank you and Good Job Dr. Mike!!
You don't really seem to be addressing addiction and people who have gotten fat due to addiction to bad foods. All the thingsyou mention in this video are great and make logical sense, until the monkey is on your back and you get hit with something that puts you through the ringer emotionally or a stressful upsetting moment. I think addiction to letting loose, eating what tastes good, and overeating is one of the common reasons why people fail to get to their goal weight or even do get to their goal weight but gradually gain the weight back through progressive back sliding. The vast, vast majority of overweight people who have gone on diets have gained the weight back, even after they met their goal weight. Look at Oprah, with her billions of dollars and massive support system. She couldn't keep the weight off and has yo-yo dieted for decades. Sometimes it feel like taking a drug. Even when it isn't stressful… You lost all the weight and feel so happy and then you're out with your friends and the addiction kicks in hard and you just want that extra hit and start down the road of bad eating that can sometimes pull you under no matter how much you want to take control again.
when you talked about the illusion of feeling like once your motivated dieting is gonna be easy really hit home, i used to think that if i was struggling dieting i was doing something wrong so i would keep upping my calories or take way too many rest days and would just ruin all my progress
It took me a while to realize a lot of this stuff and I didn’t actually write it down or put labels on it but I’ve definitely felt the effects of all of these things as I have gotten into learning about health and exercise and diet. You definitely know your stuff. I think a lot of people get stuck at the intention step. I personally have noticed that once I develop habits it becomes stupid easy to stick to your plan a.k.a. the adherence that everything you’re talking about is plotted against. Hitting your calorie goals is stupid easy when you meal prep 10 meals at a time. I gave a talk at my company that kind of glossed over a lot of the stuff that you’re talking about here without actually naming any of it specifically and it was really well received and a lot of people asked for my notes and said I did a great job. And here we are with you actually naming out each specific steps and talking about it and find detail, this is definitely going to help me in the future
This is the best video I've ever seen, and not only for dieting but for any aspect of your life you could apply those principles to reach whatever goal one may have. Thank you sir
