Thomas, I am watching this vid about a year after it was made so am not really anticipating that you will see my comment but, if you do, I just wanted to say that, like so many others who are are maybe a little more 'everyday folks' perhaps not quite so in depth of the biology and scientific understanding you have worked so hard to earn and acquire, it became a bit over my head.

    HOWEVER.. i found myself strolling through the many comment/questions (particularly those you replied to), some comments were funny, some thankful, some condescending which will unfortunately always be the case for someone who really puts himself out there like you do, and some by people like me who kind of went 'Huh??'.

    I then decided to give a second listen and, unlike the first run through, I found myself really listening and focusing on what you were presenting here. As I watched it the second time through, I totally understood each and every point you were making.. even why you said this is really only a summary of the scientific topic you were describing.

    Maybe sometimes it just takes a follow up listen if the first time through seemed a bit over some of our heads.. at least speaking for myself.

I know I’m late to watch this, but I wanted to mention that I am a high school science teacher and I teach my 14-15 year old students about glucose, carbohydrates, insulin, lipase, enzymes etc. I’m sorry that people kept saying it wasn’t “simple enough”. That’s why it’s important to pay attention in science!! I teach an entire unit on glucose and I plan on incorporating information that I learn from you about metabolism into my lessons because of how relevant it is. I LOVE the science and that you reference research articles. If you didn’t do that, I never would have watched a second video.

I know for a fact that your videos are very informative and beneficial .. it's just gives me ADD .. after 30 – 40 secs i space out because of all the sciency stuff .. and i was a personal trainer for fk sake .. i totally agree with the comment that suggests ''for dummies'' channel … you can't benefit me if i can't pay attention past 30 secs
