Dr John Gibbons invented the first heart lung bypass machine in 1937. Russel M Nelson was age 13 at the time. Thus Nelson did NOT develop the first heart lung bypass machine. He later contributed to further development of this machine but he in no way was the first to develop it. Itâs important to be truthful in what we say and do. This Mormon prophet may have helped later in its development but to give him credit for this is simply wrong. Why do people try to give credit to others that do deserve the credit. God is a God of truth and I have a hard time believing God would be pleased with this giving credit to someone that does not deserve it.

Failed to note that Nelson was an Army Officer in the Medical Corps during the Korean War — inspected all MASH units.

It is not worshipping a prophet. Just sharing of all what he did for his age as 100 years old. He is a good man a good leader to follow. A very good example of being a Christian. He always taught us to love every one , just like Jesus love us all .if you only know what kind of man he is, you will say he is really a prophet of God.
