  1. Obviously Ant can do all those pushups, but in that test, he was doing half reps and his arms were too wide. Those reps wouldn't count in the royal marines since its not the correct royal marine push-up technique they expect recruits to do. So, in that test, he would've failed.

  2. Everybody should be able to lift theyre own bodyweight. Functional training isnt just about training for the sport you are practicing. Its about beeing better to do the everyday jobs tasks and so on. But train as you feel fit. Its the same as music. The best music in the world dosent exsist. Its what you enjoy most that is the best for you. What makes you feel like the best you. Just my opinion
